We film at the Rocks a district, which is surrounded by early colonial architecture, modern resteraunts and unique shopping. I love the weekend craft markets with its sail-like canopys selling everything form handmade items to Aborigional art, and the moonlight Friday night market.
Seeing Manly which boasts the strapline ' Manly more than a beach' and I think it is, with my ferry arrival, walk along the shopping mall to find this beautiful beach. Where you can do anything - parasailing, visit Oceanworld, ride the giant slides at waterworks, do a ghost night at Quarantine Station, go high speed boat riding, scuba dive ..........the list is endless. Palm beach is the set of Home and Away.
Nice areas to look for your home in the Sydney area would be North Shore, Cronulla, South Sydney, Bondi Beach, Palm Beach. On the Central Coast 1.5 hours drive away from Sydney Terrigaly and Avoca. In this DVD you visit both the Southern and Eastern Suberbs, Wooloongong on the South Coast, Harbourd , Curl Curl, Deewhy and Freshwater
Public transport is widely available, Circular Quay and Central Station are two of the major train stations in Sydney the train system in Sydney is fantastic and frequent in an out of most large suberbs, and each bus stop is signed well with a location name.
The monorail operating around Darling Harbour is a lovely way to see some of the Sydney sights like Darling Harbour, Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Sydney Tower and is a great experience. I would also recommend the City Sightseeing bus service, which operates between the city and bondi with over 30 stops at all the major tourist attractions, fantastic views of the beautiful harbour and city are a must on this tour
The Sydney Heli tours are a thrilling adventure and a lovely surprise if booked for a loved one
Ferries are frequently used by locals and tourists as the city is linked by the magnificent harbour. Many tourist will take a trip on the Captain Cook famous cruises which operate out of the harbour every day. The James Craig Tallship is a spectacular sight around the harbour , knowing it sank after sailing for nearly 60 years, she was re-floated in 1973, and is the largest oldest tallship now operating in Sydney harbour
The QVB is an experience of grand proportion where history, culture and shopping under a majestic dome. This five level mecca has shops galore in this most celebrated landmark.
Other good shopping areas in the city are Hersville Westfields, Roselands and Paramatta, Paddys Market is a huge market selling everything from Sydney memorabilia to Mango's
