John Glick is a major American ceramic artist and founder of Plum Tree Pottery in Michigan. This short film opens as Glick walks into his studio and proceeds to create a large and luscious bowl. We watch as he prepares the clay, throws at the wheel, decorates, bisque fires, glazes, final fires and finally removes his gorgeous work from the kiln. Through these various processes, this gentle artist speaks of his feelings, his work, his inspiration and his deep love for the medium in which he has excelled for over 30 years. Other pieces of his are explored in the show room next to his studio. John Glick's work is found in many private and public collections. Produced and directed by Academy Award-winning Sue Marx.
